Fax pages beyond the 100 included per number are $0.10 each. Fax numbers are billed at our carrier's cost. An encrypted-link fax counts as one page.

Fax, the secure way

Some people still need a fax. LockDoc gives you two ways to send one from your dashboard, plus your own fax number.

Most secure: send an encrypted link by fax. Your document is encrypted in your browser, exactly like a LockDoc secure email. The fax machine receives a single cover page with a QR code and a short link. The recipient scans it, types the passcode you give them by phone or text, and downloads the document. The document itself never crosses the phone network.

Standard fax (the actual pages). When the recipient needs paper pages, send a normal fax. Your PDF is encrypted on its way to our fax carrier and delivered over the phone network like any fax. LockDoc never keeps a readable copy.

Receive faxes into your encrypted inbox. Faxes sent to your LockDoc number land in your encrypted inbox, next to your client-portal uploads. We email you when one arrives (never the fax itself).

Client upload portal

Receive files from clients without them needing an account. Clients upload through your portal as easily as attaching a file to an email. Files are encrypted automatically, and you're notified by email when new files arrive.
